Who should apply for Corporate Account?
Corporate Account is designed for the corporate users who own one or more properties. They need accurate and reliable benchmarking result of building energy performance, and apply it for effective tracking of energy performance, building management, estimation of energy saving potential, building retrofitting as well as for the National Environmental Agency's (NEA) Energy Smart Building Labelling Programme.
Additional features of Corporate Account
The design and features of Corporate Account is different from that for the Normal User. Additional functions are provided. These include the display of company logo, small building photo next to the building name (click to see enlarged building image). The building photo is also shown in the printable report next to the building physical background, prior to the benchmarking curve. For the purpose of performance tracking and internal benchmarking within one entity, flexible printing options are provided. Benchmarking against competitors is allowed if data sharing is permitted by all parties concerned. For the purpose of data verification, detailed investigation of building profile and energy use will be carried out. This includes meeting the building managers and operators, site visit and investigation, on-site training of data collection and measurement.
A function of printable full version of the benchmarking report is provided. Additional value-added features which include the analysis of primary filters and correction factors, detailed evaluation of benchmarking results and an ESU certificate with an enhanced accuracy of benchmarking result will be provided. | Official Launch of Energy Smart Tool |
16 Dec 2005 - Environment Building, 40 Scotts Road, Level 4 (Theattrette)
Energy Sustainability Unit (ESU) of National University of Singapore will officially launch the Energy Smart Tool- an online performance-based building benchmarking tool for office buildings, and industrial flatted factories in Singapore. For the first time, building owners and managers can benchmark their energy performance against other similar facilities on a nationwide scale.
The official launch of the Energy Smart Tool is scheduled on 16 December 2005 coinciding with the seminar on the Energy Smart Office organized jointly by the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the ESU.
The Energy Smart Tool is developed by ESU, supported by National University of Singapore (NUS), EC-ASEAN Energy Facility (EAEF) Project 68, National Environment Agency (NEA), Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) and building owners.
The main objective of the Energy Smart Tool is to provide comprehensive, reliable and accurate benchmarks of energy consumption and efficiency in buildings.
As part of the National Efficiency Drive, there will be an expansion of the Energy Smart Tool to other building types, including hotels, hospitals, schools, shopping malls and industrial buildings.
Using the website http://www.esu.com.sg/smarttool.php, building owners will be able to analyze and track the energy performance of their buildings online, and set targets for improvements.

| Launch of NEA's Energy Smart Office Labelling Programme |
Friday, 16 Dec 2005 - Environment Building, 40 Scotts Road, Level 4 (Theattrette)
This seminar will be held on 16 December 2005 at Environment Building's Theattrette. On this half-day event, the Building Energy Efficiency Labelling Programme called Energy Smart Building jointly developed by ESU and NEA will be launched.
Energy efficiency labeling programme such as the US EPA's Building Energy Star Programme which has been established over 14 years, has shown that significant energy saving can be achieved without compromising comfort, air quality and performance.
The objective of the seminar is to encourage building owners and managers to make their building more energy efficient. Details on the labeling systems, the ways towards achieving a label award and how the labelling system will benefit office buildings will also be presented by a panel of experts. The first set of Labels recipients for Energy Smart Office will be presented.
