Seminar and Official Launching of Energy Smart Office Label

The Seminar on Energy Smart Office was held on 16 December 2005 at Environment Building. Energy Smart Label, jointly developed by ESU of NUS and NEA, was launched by Associate Professor Koo Tsai Kee, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.

During the launch 8 buildings were awarded the Energy Smart Office Label. The buildings are the SIA Computer Centre, Alexandra Point, Fuji Xerox Tower, City House, Republic Plaza, Environment Building, Revenue House and JTC-Summit.

Besides the award presentation to the inaugural recipients, details on the labeling system including the ways towards achieving a label award, and how the labeling system will benefit office buildings were also presented by a panel of experts from ESU, NEA, CDL and G-Energy Global Pte Ltd.
